Boxing Ontario’s Female Development Committee hosted another successful all-female Performance & Development Camp on Saturday, May 27 at Budo Canada in Toronto.

Over 60 female athletes from across Ontario joined for a day of sparring, training, informative seminars, and community.

The day began with a nutrition chat/Q&A with Sylvie Tetrault who discussed nutrition for optimal performance and recovery, and shared recipe ideas and tips for maintaining a healthy weight class. To follow, Eddy Bucardo from Unchained Athletics led a group mobility session to create awareness about how mobility can improve your boxing, no matter your level of experience.

Camp concluded with a boxing workout and technical and open sparring rounds led by members of the Female Development Committee.

Thank you to the FDC, special guest presenters Sylvie and Eddy, the athletes and their personal coaches, and to Budo Canada for being welcoming hosts.

Stay tuned for upcoming announcements about future monthly FDC Performance & Development Camps.

Recently announced, Border City Boxing Club, with the support of Boxing Ontario’s Female Developmental Committee, will be hosting a four-day training camp for female athletes and coaches from July 18-21, 2023 to prepare for the upcoming USA Boxing National Women’s Championships.
