Boxing Ontario was recently made aware of criminal charges laid by Peel Regional Police against registrant Ajaz Khan, of one of our member clubs, for child pornography and sexual offences involving minors.
Boxing Ontario strives to maintain a safe environment for all of our participants. The protection of our membership and community is paramount, and as the governing body for Boxing in Ontario, we take these responsibilities extremely seriously.
Following receipt of the news that criminal charges for sexual offences involving minors had been laid, Boxing Ontario immediately suspended Ajaz Khan from all Boxing Ontario activities.
Boxing Ontario fully supports and is cooperating with the authorities while their current investigation is ongoing. We encourage anyone with more information or concerns about other potential misconduct to contact the Peel Regional Police Service Special Victims Unit at 905-453-2121, or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). Boxing Ontario will continue to support the police and any person who wishes to report while respecting their privacy.
