Thirteen athletes will be representing the Canadian Pan Am boxing team in total.

The journey to the Pan Am Games began back in June 2023 when the athletes competed for a spot on Team Canada at the 2023 Domestic Qualifiers held in Montreal.

Recently, Team Canada attended a two-week Pan Am Games preparation camp in Bogota, Colombia in which over a dozen countries participated.

The team has arrived in Chile, the draw is complete, and the Ontario athletes will have their first bouts on the following days:

Justin Parina – October 21 (AM)
Mckenzie Wright – October 21 (PM)
Garinder Takhar – October 22 (PM)
Scarlett Delgado – October 24 (PM)

The Pan Am Games is the largest multisport event in the Americas and welcomes the best athletes from across the continent to compete. Forty-one countries are participating in the Games in total.

The Pan Am Games is a direct qualifying event for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.

Good luck to all the Team Ontario and Team Canada athletes!
