THE SILVER GLOVES – PROVINCIAL OLYMPIC BOX-OFFS STARTS THURSDAY OCTOBER 3
[FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE] Boxing Ontario encompasses more than 125 clubs and over 2000 competitors. For the athletes, this tournament will also serve as a final opportunity for Ontario boxers to reach the ultimate achievement; The 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. With the overwhelming success of our boxers locally, nationally and even internationally, we’re excited to open our Silver Gloves – Provincial Olympic Box-Offs Tournament to all boxers of Ontario!
The purpose of the Silver Gloves is to allow Ontario boxers to qualify to compete in the Canadian Olympic Qualifier which will be held in Montreal from December 2, 2019 through December 7, 2019.
The following Ontario boxers have already qualified for the Canadian Olympic Qualifiersin December 2019: Women: 51 kg Sara Haghighat-Joo and 2016 Olympian, Mandy Bujold – Men: 52 kg Justin Parina, 75 kg Triston Brookes

SILVER GLOVES – OLYMPIC BOX-OFFS EVENT SCHEDULE:
Competition Date: Thursday October 3rd – Sunday October 6th, 2019
Competition Venue: The Westin Airport Hotel – 950 Dixon Rd. Toronto, ON M9W 5N4
Spectator Tickets: $20 per session, $50 for the weekend pass
