The Boxing Ontario Board of Directors would like to express our thanks and appreciation for the contributions Chris Fenn made as our Provincial Official last year while juggling family priorities that he needs to return to this year.
We are happy to announce that Paul DeMelo has been appointed as the Provincial Official for 2024. Paul is a long-time Regional Supervisor for the Niagara Region, an International 1-Star Referee, and he brings a wealth of experience in the operations of club competitions and tournaments. In addition, his broad experience in business and countless contributions in technology platforms and process workflows have been a huge boost to Boxing Ontario operations.
In his new role, Paul will work with our Regional Officials to raise the standard of Training, Evaluation, Recruitment, and Retention for our Officials across the province. In consultation with Regional Officials across the province, Paul will continue his great work in the recruitment and development of Ontario Officials.
