Boxers from the eastern region competed in Oshawa at the cadet cahampionships on Mar.4/5/6 though few in number they all brought home medals. Joe Bowman of Champs Eastside boxing club in Cornwall won a gold medal and a spot on the provincial team again this year, Tyler Cross of the Belleville boxing club also won gold and a belt for best prospect in the cadet C open division. Timothy Smith of the Boxing Factory in Lindsy fought an excellent bout against a very experienced Robbie Shewell of the Uptown boxing club in Barrie and came away with a silver medal, Max Irwin also the Boxing Factory brought home a bronze medal. In the novice division Mitch Cleary of the Triumph boxing club in Peterborough won a gold medal. Both Joe Bowman and Tyler Cross will represent Ontario at the National Championships in Prince George British Columbia on April first weekend. ” Congratulations guys “
