Learn more about Mary Spencer below:

Hello Boxing Ontario!

My name is Mary Spencer and I’ve been involved with boxing for a little over twenty years. I first began boxing as a teenager and spent over ten years competing for both Team Ontario and Team Canada. During that time, I won three World Championships, the PanAm Games, and competed in the Olympics.

During a three-year hiatus from competing, I started a boxing club on the James Bay Coast. I am currently a professional boxer who splits my time between my own training and coaching at the Kashechewan Boxing Club.

I am thrilled to be able to contribute to the sport as a part of the Board of Directors of Boxing Ontario and I’m grateful for the trust that has been given to me. I believe our sport is unique and offers substantial social and personal benefits. I can’t wait to get to work with all of you!
