Boxing Ontario hosted its Formal Dinner & Boxing Gala, in conjunction with its second annual awards dinner, on Friday, June 17. The event played host to over 250 spectators and none of them went home disappointed. Team Ontario scored a resounding triumph in the ring, winning 5 of 6 bouts versus a classy team from Quebec. Thank you to the athletes, coaches, and Boxe Quebec for their participation and for providing our guests with thrilling boxing entertainment. The results are listed below.
TV Cogeco will air the ONTARIO vs QUEBEC duel THIS WEEKEND – on Saturday, June 25, at 4pm and Sunday, June 26, at 10:30am.
Congratulations to the 2004 Award Winners and new Legends Inductees! Eight awards for 2004 were handed out on the evening (5 individual and 3 club) and 4 new Legends were entered into the Ring of Fame. It was a very sentimental and emotional evening, in particular for the late Arnie Boehm (and his family in attendance), who has impacted so many boxers and youth that his legends still carries on strong. Below is the list of the 2004 Award Winners and Legends. They can also be found in our Awards Section on the website.
