On Sunday March 28/2004 The Boxing Factory in Lindsay Ontario hosted and all day training camp in preparation for the 2004 Cadet and Ray McGibbon Gloves being held in St.Catherines On April 2- 4 2004. The camp was attended by 7 different clubs and was a great success!
The Camp started at 9:30 am with a 8km run and then went into a technical boxing session that ran until 12:00pm The athletes then went for lunch and returned to a vigorous sparring session that ran until 4:00 pm A special thanks goes out to the clubs from the eastern region that attended as without you this would not have been a success. The Clubs in attendance were The Triumph Boxing Club Peterborough, Belleville Boxing Club, Ottawa Beaver, Champs Cornwall, Uptown Boxing Club Barrie and The Boxing Factory Peterborough and Lindsay.
This camp was such a success in club bonding and seeing different training techniques that we will be trying to have one prior to every major tournament. I would personally like to thank all clubs in attendance and good luck in your future in the best sport in the world.
