Boxing Ontario Provincial Championships

Save the dates for Boxing Ontario’s Golden Gloves Provincial Championships: November 3-6, 2022.
The purpose of this provincial tournament is to give Ontario open class boxers the opportunity to advance to the 2023 Canadian National Championships (date TBD).

⚠️ PROVINCIAL WEIGH IN INFORMATION: All athletes are required to weigh-in in order to advance to Nationals or claim the provincial title (including those without other entries in their weight class/category). This can be done at the provincials at any of the allotted weigh in times, or within 14 days of the provincials at specified club competitions.

- Tournament Schedule: Please note that we will only be running one session per day with one ring. View the schedule and let us know if you see any discrepancies or duplicate bouts: View Golden Gloves Schedule
- WhatsApp Comms Group: We will be communicating solely through the WhatsApp communication group once the tournament commences: JOIN GROUP NOW (athletes and parents welcome)
- Tournament Coach Registration Deadline: Tuesday Nov. 1 5:00 pm EST: Please ensure you and all coaches who plan on cornering athletes are registered via the Tournament Page (link below)
- Mandatory Attendance: Technical Meeting – Wednesday Nov. 2 8:00 PM: This tournament is the pathway to National/International/Olympics. It’s important to prepare our athletes at this level to ensure they’re not surprised when they make it to the next level. Please note that this will be run at the same level as our National/International Championships, with the expectations of the coaches, officials and athletes to be at the same level. It’s important that ALL Coaches attend the upcoming Technical Meeting (Nov 2) as we will be clarifying many of the Tournament Specific expectations. - Download Coaches Package: Please download and thoroughly review full Golden Gloves Provincial 2022 Championships Coaching Package. Remember to print, complete and send the daily medical form with your athlete for each weigh-in.

- Annual Medicals: Many medicals were acquired in September 2021 and athletes are in need of update medicals. While registration will be valid until end of year, medicals are only valid 12 months. (Download Blank Medical – take to register MD)

Good Afternoon Provincial Coaches,
Thank you to those who have registered as a coach for the tournament next month. If you have not yet, please ensure you register on the form available below. There have been some changes to the schedule, we’re still finalizing logistics and will be inviting the registered coaches to receive the relevant access links for the draw and technical meetings.
This tournament is the pathway to National/International/Olympics. It’s important to prepare our athletes at this level to ensure they’re not surprised when they make it to the next level.
Please note that this will be run at the same level as our National/International Championships, with the expectations of the coaches, officials and athletes to be at the same level. It’s important that ALL Coaches attend the upcoming Technical Meeting (Nov 2) as we will be clarifying many of the Tournament Specific expectations.
