Boxing Ontario is seeking Team Coaches to support the Provincial Team for the 2026 U23/U19/U17 National Championships. Two positions are available with 1 female coach minimum. Selected coaches will be responsible for planning and executing multiple training camps for athletes leading up to Nationals.
The 2026 U23/U19/U17 National Championships will be taking place March 18-22, 2026 at the Genesis Centre in Calgary, AB.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 16, 2025 BY 5PM
Eligibility
Coaches wishing to be considered by Boxing Ontario must be:
- Minimum Competition Introduction or Competition Development ‘in training’ NCCP; or a coach who has completed at least six (6) NCCP Competition Development multisport modules; or a coach who has completed at least four (4) NCCP Competition Development multisport modules and Boxing Canada’s Performance Analysis Workshop.
- A member in good standing with Boxing Ontario (PSO) and Boxing Canada;
- Must have active membership with Boxing Ontario
- Ensure that your police check is up to date (within 3 years), or you must provide a new one to Boxing Ontario
- Available for the entire duration of the event (according to the dates above);
- Has completed the following modules:
- Safe Sport Training which can be found under the E-Learning tab on The Locker
- Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders can be completed HERE
- Making Head Way which can be found under the E-Learning tab on The Locker
- Coaches must sign a Code of Conduct and complete background checks as applicable.
Other factors taken into consideration for your application:
- Experience as a boxer
- Examples of success as a coach (ie. provincial and national champions)
- Examples of being a good leader and communicator
The Coaching/High Performance Committee will review all applications. The candidates will be selected based on Coaches Selection Policy, subject to Board approval. Boxing Ontario’s Coach Selection Policy is available here.
