There are lost of things happening in the Ontario Amateur Boxing scene over the holiday weekend.  July 1st is a busy day as Boxing Ontario teams up with KidSport for two events and hosts a live boxing show at the CHIN International Picnic!

The two KidSport FunZone events will take place at Downsview Park in Toronto, and in North Bay in the main celebration centre.  Boxing experts will be on site to provide demonstrations and give people a taste of amateur boxing.  Both events kick-off around 12 noon, Thursday July 1.

Also on July 1st, Boxing Ontario will partner with Jamestown Boxing Club to bring a live boxing show to the CHIN Picnic.  The show (approx 10 bouts) will be at 3pm in the Better Living Building of the CNE and admission is FREE.  Come check out some great boxing matches!

On July 3, Bluewater Boxing Club in Sarnia is hosting a Holiday Weekend Show (see Club Shows) and friends and family of our Olympians are hosting a Send-Off Party.  The Party will be in Rodney, Ontario (between Chatham and London) at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 525 and runs from 4pm until midnight.  Both Andrew Kooner and Adam Trupish will be there to sign autographs and mingle with the general public.  Tickets are $10 and all proceeds go to support the two as they head to Greece to compete in the Olympics!

What a great weekend for boxing!  Happy Birthday Canada!
