Boxing Ontario’s Female Development Committee (FDC) hosted their final All-Female Performance & Development Camp of 2023 on Sunday, November 12 at Blaze Performance Training in Orangeville, ON.

Hosted monthly (with a break in December), the FDC Performance & Development camps are designed to bring together female athletes of all ages, levels, and weight classes from across the province to spar and learn from each other.

Organized by the FDC’s certified coaches, supported by the athletes’ personal coaches, and officiated by Iryna Blazey, the athletes engaged in test matches to sharpen their skills against pre-matched opponents.

Athletes attending FDC camps bring a variety of experience levels, and the test matches were a great opportunity for the athletes to prepare for upcoming competitions and/or gain more experience in a positive, safe, growth-mindset environment.

Thank you to Penny Leimbrock and the Female Development Committee volunteers for hosting another successful camp and thank you to Iryna and Scott from Blaze Performance Training for being welcoming hosts.

The next training camp will take place at MJKO Boxing in Toronto on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Registration is now open at boxingontario.com.

Congratulations to the Female Development Committee on an amazing 2023 of further developing and creating more opportunities for the incredible female boxing talents right here in Ontario.
