Montreal – March 14, 2022.  Following the recent selection of the National Team, a total of 15 Canadians will participate in the 2022 AMBC Elite Men & Women Continental Championships that will take place from March 22nd to April 2nd in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The following boxers will compete at this tournament:

The team will be accompanied by coaches Samir El Mais (head coach), Miranda Kamal, Gordon Apolloni, Benoit Martel, and Socrates Celestial, as well as High Performance Director Daniel Trépanier and physiotherapist Brian Li.

“Boxing Canada is proud to offer an opportunity for these athletes to represent Canada at the AMBC Continental Championships,” states Daniel Trépanier, Boxing Canada’s High Performance Director. “The AMBC Continental Championships are an important step in the athletes’ development. We have a delegation of athletes who are ready to offer their best performances on the international scene. We are excited to support them over the course of the next few weeks.”

A training camp is taking place at the National Training Centre in Montreal from March 14th to 21st to prepare for the competition. The official draw is scheduled for Wednesday, March 23rd and the competition will begin the following day. All information relating to the tournament, such as draw sheets, schedule, and results, will be updated throughout the championships on our event webpage and social media platforms.
