Update: The application deadline has now passed. Boxing Ontario is seeking 4 athletes and 2 coaches for a National Training & Assessment Camp from September 12-22, 2024 in Montreal, QC. Please review all the following information and submit your applications for Athletes or Coaches using the separate forms below. (Athlete application is below the coach application)

Training Camp Goals: The purpose of the camp is to bring the nation’s top athletes to train under Boxing Canada’s national coaching staff; begin the athlete identification process for the LA28 and Brisbane32 Olympics; and continue to expose Provincial and HP Personal Coaches to Boxing Canada’s National Training Centre. Additional goals include:

  1. Assess and rank all attending athletes against Boxing Canada’s revised Winning Style (WS) model, a crucial tool in Boxing Canada’s assessment process. The assessment scores will inform training plans and help break potential ties in future national selection processes, such as Sport Canada Athlete Assistance Program (AAP) Carding nominations.
  2. Assess and rank all athletes under 23 for possible entry into the “Emerging” athlete category within the High-Performance Program. This category is designed to identify and develop emerging talent.
  3. Assess and rank all athletes under the age of 23 for possible Sport Canada AAP Carding nomination during the 2025/26 Carding cycle (Priority 8).
