Vince Mac Donald

Hi, my name is Vince. I have been on the Board of Directors for 2 years. I’m an Official in Central, Niagara and SW regions. Boxing has exploded in recent years. We have seen an increase over 40% each year in registered boxers and club shows. Over 3 times the number of Coaches are now registered than just a few years ago.

Things I’ve learned we need to FOCUS on in my 2 years on the Board:

  • Boxing is led by the Clubs and Coaches and Athletes who want to Teach, Learn and Compete. Our job is to listen and enable that in a safe and fair manner using common sense.
  • We need to invest in Clubs, Coaches and Athletes with the money we have. Develop and fund systems and opportunities for our Staff and Officials.
  • Athlete Funds and Coaching Funds that are earmarked as a percentage each year to need be established and distributed.
  • Boxing ON has taken great strides to come up to Gold standards on National level codes of conduct and Policy. Progress needs to continue.

Saeid Eskandarisedighi

Rod Power

I first started boxing at the age of 12, joining the Bramalea Boxing Club in Brampton. Boxing for me wasn’t only about the sport, it was somewhere I could go to make friends and have a sense of belonging. Little did I know that the coach would be more of a father figure who genuinely cared for all the participants in the gym. This is the essence of the sport. Although I did compete, but because of family issues I was sent to live with my grandparents in a city where there wasn’t a boxing program. Now being a member of city council, I have an opportunity to be an even bigger advocate for the sport and I wish to pay it forward. Whether it be having a meeting with the current minister of sport, to sponsoring events or engaging other levels of government to come and engage, participate, and get involved with the youth or the men and women who volunteer their time to grow the sport.

Noel Clubb

I am a long-time boxing Coach since the mid 1990s. I have worked on the Board of Directors previously in 2016 to 2019. I have developed a lot of athletes and built boxing programs for several gyms including Muay Thai and Kick boxing gyms. I also host a boxing TV and Streaming show that is seen around the World to about 3.2 to 3.9 million viewers. I am very experienced in boxing. My heart and passion has always been around helping, facilitating athletes (finding the better version of themselves) through our sport and assisting in building strong numbers in several gyms in southern Ontario for at least the past 10 more Years

Nick Chronopoulos

I’m currently a Level 3 Official with Boxing Ontario; I’ve officiated close to 600 bouts, and you’ll find me working at an event at least a few times per month. I’m also currently a member of Boxing Ontario’s Governance Committee and a member of Boxing Canada’s Governance and Policy Committee. In my professional life, I’m a senior policy advisor in government. In the last year, I have researched for and developed multiple boxing policy documents to support, for example, high-performance team processes and emerging conversations around diversity and safe sport. I focus my contributions on rounds of check-ins with key personnel and subsequent iterations of each policy until we land on thorough and defensible policies. In my roles as an official and as part of policy and governance committees, I have learned how important it is to listen to people in boxing – athletes, coaches, officials, and boxing club members – and to try to respond to the needs and goals of these people.

Lee Smith

To the membership,

Most of you know that I am very passionate about boxing. I interact with most of you either through matchmaking, coaching, or officiating. I am always my authentic self and stay true to my core beliefs and values; in that, I try my best to foster an inclusive environment for all as I believe boxing has the power to change lives. Being elected to the Board of Directors would be an absolute privilege that I know will come with great responsibility.

If you, the members of Boxing Ontario, choose to elect me, I promise that I will make a positive impact on the organization as a whole with the overall goal of helping boxing in the Province grow and flourish, as well as help each of you reach your goals in boxing.

My knowledge and skill sets in micro and macro management, finance, governance and policy interpretation and development will assist the Board and better our association.

I love this sport and it would be an honor to serve our association and our members

Kyle Millette

My name is Kyle Millette and I have been involved in boxing in a number of ways over the last 20 years. I started out as an athlete in my teenage years; From there I ventured into coaching, got my feet wet with officiating, took ownership of a boxing club -Bushido Boxing-served on Boxing Ontario’s High Performance Committee for 2 consecutive years, and had a chance to coach Team Ontario at the 2023 Quebec Open.

Other than running the boxing club, owning a rental property, and all of the normal day to day financial challenges – I am no expert in “Fund Development” as per requested in the application.

I manage a large boxing club and graduated Law & Security at St. Clair College in 2008; but, I also wouldn’t consider myself to have expertise in government relations or legal knowledge.

What I can promise you is that my integrity is of great importance to me. I am always straight forward & honest with a strong moral compass and I ALWAYS base my decisions on what is best for the athletes.
