Are you ready to become a boxing coach? The two-day Instruction Beginners (Level 1) course is designed to provide an in-depth introduction into the fundamentals of boxing coaching.
PLEASE NOTE: This course will be capped at 25 participants. Early registration is recommended.
NCCP COURSE DESCRIPTION: Designed to help coaches assist boxers in the early stages of their competitive careers, this workshop focuses on basic techniques and tactical principles that every beginner boxer should learn and master. This 12-hour workshop also covers key rules of amateur boxing, fundamental ring craft principles, guidelines for gym equipment usage, as well as basic methods to improve motor abilities for athletes aged 6 to 12.

BRING:
• Come prepared to be active; wear some appropriate footwear and comfortable active-wear and bring a water bottle to the class.
• If you own gloves and hand pads, feel free to bring them, but this is not a necessity.
• Bring writing utensils such as pen/paper.
• Time will be allotted for lunch. There’s quite a few food options in the area, however, bringing your own lunch is also recommended.
NCCP NUMBER:
Every coach attending the course MUST have an NCCP number prior to the start of the course. If you don’t have a number, please create one [here]. You should know this number going forward as it will give you access to all the courses you take on the Coaching Association of Canada’s website called The Locker.
