Four Ontario athletes have travelled to Germany to represent Team Canada at the 2025 Brandenburg Cup, scheduled from July 29 to August 3 in Frankfurt (Oder).
- 51kg – April Kelly – Boomerz Boxing Club
- 60kg – Mantej Gill – King of the Ring
- 70kg – Abigail Purdie – Waterloo Regional Boxing Academy
- 90+kg – Odes Besultanov – Grant Boxing Gym
April, Matej, Abigail, and Odes were selected for the Brandenburg team following their outstanding performances at this year’s U17, U19, and U23 Canadian Championships, where they each earned the top spot in the country in their respective categories.
Ontario Coach Yulissa Agudelo of Boomerz Boxing Club is accompanying the team after being selected as Team Canada’s Coach Intern, and Ontario official Lyla Simon is en route to Frankfurt to serve as a tournament referee and judge.
