2023 Canada Winter Games

Boxing Ontario is pleased to announce the boxing athlete selection process for the 2023 Canada Winter Games in Charlottetown, PEI from 18 February to 5 March 2023

The Canada Games is a multi-sport event held every two years, alternating between summer and winter, representing the highest level of national competition for Canadian athletes with over 2,000 athletes and coaches competing in the largest amateur multi-sport event in Canada. Athletes in boxing will be between 16 years of age and 18 years of age as of 1 March 2023. Those born between 1 January 2005 and 1 March 2007 will be eligible to compete as outlined in the 2023 Canada Winter Games Boxing Technical Package

A decision has been made by Boxing Ontario to invite interested athletes for the opportunity to tryout for the 2023 Team Ontario Boxing Canada Winter Games (CWG) through the selection process.

The team objectives for Boxing Ontario’s entry in the 2023 Canada Games is to field a team to represent the province of Ontario with a goal to improve upon our previous CWG standings. As well as to select the best team possible team, meeting the development and competitive objectives.

Boxing Ontario is committed to sending experienced athletes and coaches as part of a team to represent Ontario at the 2023 Canada Winter Games (CWG) in Charlottetown, PEI from 18 Feb to 5 Mar 2023.
