Mary Spencer arrived at Toronto International Airport on Tuesday, greeted by media reporters and photographers eager to get a glimpse of the new World Champion. Though tired from a long flight, Mary and her coach Charlie Stewart were delighted to chat with the press. Look for this Saturday’s Amateur Sports Weekly in the Toronto Sun to see a write-up on Mary’s accomplishment.
Also this weekend, CTV is featuring a documentary named “Girls Don’t Fight” which features Jessica Rakoczy of Hamilton. The one-hour shows airs at 7pm on Saturday on CTV and examines the struggles of high-profile female combative sports. Program also re-airs Sunday at 1pm. Be sure to watch.
