Friday, November 5 through Sunday, November 7, 2004, over 150 amateur boxers will compete in the 2nd Annual Arnie Boehm Memorial Boxing Classic.Presented by the St. Catharine’s Amateur Boxing Club, the tournament is host to the 2004 Ontario Junior and Senior Novice Boxing Championships.The event honours legendary trainer Arnie Boehm, who devoted his life to boxing and the development of stars such as Lennox Lewis and Chris Johnson. Many of Boehm’s former pupils, including Johnson and Kitchener-Waterloo’s Vanderpool brothers, will be in attendance.

             Saturday, November 6 from 1pm & 7pm
             Sunday, November 7 from 12 NOON

Where: Quality Hotel & Parkway Convention Centre, 327 Ontario Street, St. Catharines, Ontario

Not only will the event host former amateur boxing greats, but will also feature a cast of current champions vying for Novice Provincial Gold and a leg up on next month’s Open Provincials.Boxers include Justin White (2-Time National Champion and recent Canada vs. Poland winner), Glenn Hunter (Provincial Champion and recent Ringside World Championships winner), Jill Perry (Provincial Champion and 2004 Boxing Ontario Female Athlete of the Year), and Leah Evans (Summerhays Champion and October 2004 Athlete of the Month).
