Punch Up At Parliament – Canadian Police “Answer the Bell”

OTTAWA, ON- The Canadian Emergency Services Boxing Association (CESBA) and the Canadian Police Association (CPA) are hosting an afternoon of sanctioned amateur boxing, with ten bouts, in support of the CPA-Robert Warner Memorial Fund.This fund distributes an immediate, one time financial assistance payment to the families of officers who lose their lives in the line of duty.

“The Punch Up At Parliament” is one of the charitable events being hosted during the National Police and Peace Officer Memorial weekend in Ottawa.The weekend culminates with thousands of officers marching at a remembrance ceremony, on Parliament Hill, in honour of fallen officers.”

WHEN: Saturday September 27th,2008 – 15:00 hrs doors open. 16:00 hrs first bout.

WHERE: Coliseum Building – Lansdowne Park – Ottawa, Ontario

WHAT: An exciting afternoon of amateur boxing featuring female and male police officers, fire-fighters and correction officers boxing each other in support of the CPA-Robert Warner Memorial Fund. www.cpa-robertwarnermemorialfund.ca

WHO: Female and male police officers, correction officers and parole officers will be boxing each other including: a female Peel Police Officer vs female Ottawa Fire-fighter and a show stopper match featuring an NYPD female officer from Brooklyn vs a female officer from Mississauga.
