Brampton- The Canadian Emergency Services Boxing Association (CESBA) is stepping into the ring to support the Canadian Forces “Soldier On” Fund.This fund supports the recovery men and women of the Canadian Forces who have sustained physical or psychological injury. This event is part of the Ontario Police Memorial weekend which occurs the 1st weekend in May of every year.

Members of the returning 3rd Battalion Royal Canadian Regiment will be in attendance. They are being honoured and welcomed home from their recent deployment to Afghanistan.

All are invited to join us as we salute these “True Canadian Heroes” and support the “Soldier On” fund. Tickets are $20.00 in advance and $25.00 at the door. More info available at www.cesba.ca ; Peel Regional Police Association or at the West Seven Lounge.

When:Saturday May 2nd, 2009 – Doors Open at 2 p.m. – 3. p.m. Training session with Canada’s next world Champion Troy “The Boss” Ross. Opening Ceremonies at 4 p.m. with a post event social and dance.

Where:West Seven Lounge – 30 Guelph Street. Norval Ont. (Winston Churchill and Hwy #7 – Brampton-Georgetown border)

What: CESBA is hosting a sanctioned boxing event featuring female/male police officers from Halton, Hamilton, Peel, London, Toronto, O.P.P., NYPD and the Ministry of Community Safety and Corrections. There will be an open training session, by the next W.B.C. Cruiserweight Champion – Brampton’s Troy Ross at the venue, prior to the opening ceremonies.

Who: Join your media colleagues, members of the Canadian Forces and emergency services, the community, Boxing Icons including George Chuvalo along with other VIP’s, Boxing Ontario Executive and Dignitaries for this most important event.
