NATIONAL COACH

(Contract position)

Boxing Canada is seeking a National Coach for its High Performance Team.

Reporting to the Canadian Amateur Boxing Association (CABA) Executive Committee and Vice-President, Technical, the National Coach is responsible for the implementation of the Athlete Development Programs in conjunction with CABA. He/she advise the Executive Director in annual and multi-year plans and provide hands-on coaching at National and International competitions.The National Coach also liaise with personal coaches to provide leadership in performance objectives.

Ideal candidate will have demonstrated superior coaching abilities and will hold the NCCP Certification at level 4 or 5 (level 3 will be considered if registered for level 4). He or she understand boxing regulations and be willing to travel in Canada and abroad.The Coach must possess a strong track record as team builder and must also possess superior communications skills.Preference will be given to bilingual candidates (English and French).

This position is full-time, on a contractual basis.Initial term for contract is 3 years (May 2006 to March 2009).This position is financially supported by Sport Canada.
