Cadet Team Training Camp
The Ontario Cadet Team members met at The Boxing Factory in Lindsay this past weekend to prep for the National Championships. Coaches Heather Fex, Jack Ireland, and Clay Dales ran the squad through some great training session, which also included some mental tips from Sport Psychologist Rob Schinke. A big thanks to Kerry Hendren for his continued support of our team training camps. The team is ready to rock and roll in Prince George, BC, April 1-3. Good luck to the Cadet Team!
Quebec Cup Highlights
Some of Ontario’s best participated in the Quebec Cup over the weekend, and reaped the rewards. The tournament played host to 109 bouts (!) and boxers traveled from such provinces as Alberta and Manitoba. Here is how Ontario’s boxers fared at the Quebec Cup:

Women’s Continental Championships
This weekend the Women’s Continental Championships take place in Beunos Aires, Argentina. Many of our top females, including Windsor’s Mary Spencer, will take part in this World Tournament. Results will be posted as early as possible. Good luck ladies!
The Contender
On Sunday another dramatic episode of “The Contender” aired, with the team from the West winning their fourth straight bout. Sergio “The Latin Snake” Mora defeated Najai Turpin in a unanimous decision. The show also took a turn when a very unlucky Jeff Fraza found out he had chicken pox and was forced to leave the show. The guys then had to vote a previously defeated boxer back to the contest, and Peter Mandredo Jr got the nod. What? No Ahmed Kaddour?!?!?
