Mississauga- The Canadian Emergency Services Boxing Association (CESBA) are hosting an open to the media/public boxing training camp at the impressive HUF Boxing Club in Mississauga.

Members of the Canadian Police Boxing Team will be training with area boxing champions and Olympic prospects to prepare for an upcoming event, in support of the Canadian Forces “Soldier On” Fund, against the renowned NYPD Fighting Finest.

There will be sparring, heavy bag and pad work between the police/peace officers and several Olympic prospects. Area youth and media are also invited to join in for some training.

A Canadian Forces Member, Afghanistan Veteran, will be on hand to speak with the youth in attendance about his deployment experience and the “Soldier On” Fund.

Mayor Hazel McCallion will be attending to help “Punch Up” support and provide the team and boxers with some boxing tips.

Note: There will be light refreshments served.

What: Boxing training camp featuring female/male officers from the Peel, Toronto and OPSEU (Brampton/Mississauga Probation Officers) training with area youth.

Who: Join your media colleagues, police boxers, Mayor McCallion, boxing legends, area boxing champions, representatives of the Canadian Forces and citizens.
