The two-day Instruction Beginners (formerly Level 1) course is designed to provide an in-depth introduction into the fundamentals of coaching boxing. \nPLEASE NOTE: This course will be capped at 25 participants. Early registration is recommended. \nNCCP COURSE DESCRIPTION: Designed to help coaches assist boxers in the early stages of their competitive careers\, this workshop focuses on basic techniques and tactical principles that every beginner boxer should learn and master. This 12-hour workshop also covers key rules of amateur boxing\, fundamental ring craft principles\, guidelines for gym equipment usage\, as well as basic methods to improve motor abilities for athletes aged 6 to 12. \nDATE:\nSaturday\, May 31 AND Sunday\, June 1\, 2025 \nTIME:\n8am – 4pm EST both days \nLOCATION:\nBUDO CANADA\n38C Apex Road\nNorth York\, ON \nBRING:\n• Come prepared to be active; wear some appropriate footwear and comfortable active-wear and bring a water bottle to the class.\n• If you own gloves and hand pads\, feel free to bring them\, but this is not a necessity.\n• Bring writing utensils such as pen/paper.\n• Time will be allotted for lunch. The two-day Competition Introduction (formerly Level 2 / Club Coach) course will help you build and apply your teaching principles and methodology to coach athletes in the early stages of their competitive boxing careers. \nPLEASE NOTE: This course will be capped at 20 participants. The Instruction Beginners course must be completed before taking this course. \nNCCP COURSE DESCRIPTION: Built upon what is covered in the Instruction Beginners workshop\, coaches will continue to assist boxers in the early stages of their competitive career\, but focus more on performance\, intermediate ring craft principles\, tactics\, and intermediate methods for improving skills and techniques. If you have a passion for the sport of boxing and you are willing to undergo training to receive certification\, join our next Level 1 Officials Clinic. \nThis clinic is the first step in joining the ranks of dedicated professionals who are essential to the safety and integrity of boxing. \nAs a Boxing Ontario Official\, you get the opportunity to: \n✅ Be part of the action. Experience the thrill of Boxing up close and personal.\n✅ Play a crucial role in ensuring fair play and safety in the ring.\n✅ Receive opportunities to officiate throughout the Province.\n✅ Gain opportunities for advancement in the Boxing community.\n✅ Make lifelong connections. \n➡️ The Level 1 Officials Clinic is also beneficial for coaches and athletes\, as it will expand your knowledge of the Scoring Criteria. \nCLINIC DETAILS \n\nThe Boxing Ontario Level 1 Officiating Clinic is a 2-day course.\nAttendance at both days is required for certification\nFacilitated by: Paul Demelo\, Provincial Supervisor and Chief Official for Boxing Ontario\, 1-Star IBA\nThe clinic will be capped at 12people. Early registration is recommended.\n\nSession 1: Theory Portion\nDate: Thursday\, July 17\, 2025\nTime: 6:30pm – 9:30pm ET\nLocation: Online via Zoom (the Zoom ink will be provided to you the week of the clinic) \nSession 2: Practical Portion\nDate: Saturday\, July 19\, 2025\nTime: 2pm – 4pm ET\nLocation: Oakville Boxing Academy (595 Speers Rd\, Oakville\, ON L6K 2G4) \nREGISTRATION:\n$130 CAD (online registration) which includes your 2025 registration as a Level 1 Boxing Ontario Official for all who attend and successfully complete the course \nRegister Here!
