The two-day Competition Introduction (formerly Level 2 / Club Coach) course will help you build and apply your teaching principles and methodology to coach athletes in the early stages of their competitive boxing careers. \nPLEASE NOTE: This course will be capped at 20 participants. Early registration is recommended. The Instruction Beginners course must be completed before taking this course. \nNCCP COURSE DESCRIPTION: Built upon what is covered in the Instruction Beginners workshop\, coaches will continue to assist boxers in the early stages of their competitive career\, but focus more on performance\, intermediate ring craft principles\, tactics\, and intermediate methods for improving skills and techniques. During the 13 hours of in-class and in the gym practice\, coaches will learn how to apply teaching principles and methodology when coaching athletes aged 6 to 16. \nDATE:\nSaturday\, July 19 AND Sunday\, July 20\, 2025 \nTIME:\n9am – 5pm EST both days \nLOCATION:\nBudo Canada\n38C Apex Rd\nNorth York\, ON \nBRING:\n• Come prepared to be active; wear some appropriate footwear and comfortable active-wear and bring a water bottle to the class.\n• If you own gloves and hand pads\, feel free to bring them\, but this is not a necessity.\n• Bring writing utensils such as pen/paper.\n• Time will be allotted for lunch. The two-day Instruction Beginners (formerly Level 1) course is designed to provide an in-depth introduction into the fundamentals of coaching boxing. \nNCCP COURSE DESCRIPTION: Designed to help coaches assist boxers in the early stages of their competitive careers\, this workshop focuses on basic techniques and tactical principles that every beginner boxer should learn and master. This 12-hour workshop also covers key rules of amateur boxing\, fundamental ring craft principles\, guidelines for gym equipment usage\, as well as basic methods to improve motor abilities for athletes aged 6 to 12. \nPLEASE NOTE: This course will be capped at 25 participants.
