DESCRIPTION:Join Boxing Ontario’s Female Development Committee for the next Performance & Development Camp at BUDO Canada (38C Apex Rd.\, North York\, ON) in Toronto on May 27th. This camp is designed to bring female athletes across the province together to take part in training sessions\, seminars\, and learn from each other. \nOur day will begin with a Nutrition Chat/Q&A with Sylvie Tetrault. Bring your notebook and your questions as Sylvie breaks down nutrition for optimal performance and recovery. She will also leave you with some recipe ideas and tips for maintaining a healthy weight class. We will then have a group mobility session led by Jay from Wall St. Co. Jay will work to create awareness around how mobility can improve your boxing\, no matter your level of experience. We will finish off the day with a boxing workout that will include technical and open sparring rounds. \nAthletes\, please arrive at 9:00am for a 9:15am start time. SUMMARY:[FDC] Female Sparring Camp
DESCRIPTION:UPDATE: REGISTRATION HAS CLOSED (APR. 16) \nJoin Boxing Ontario’s Female Development Committee for an afternoon camp at No Excuse Boxing in Burlington on April 23rd. This camp is designed to bring female athletes from across the province together to spar and learn from each other. \nWe will hear from our two female athletes who made history at the Canada Winter Games and see how we can learn from their experiences. We will also have a Neuro Performance Session with Shar Gupta\, a Manual Osteopath who specializes in concussion management and athlete care. \nEveryone will also have an opportunity to get lots of sparring rounds in with different styles. You don’t want to miss this one! \nAthletes are to arrive at 11:00am for a 11:15am start time. Boxers are required to be registered with Boxing Ontario for 2023 and have an updated medical. Athletes must also have headgear\, mouthguards and 14-16oz sparring gloves. BAG GLOVES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED FOR SPARRING! \nPre-registration is required to ensure proper matches. The bouts\, which will be refereed under Olympic rules\, are sanctioned by Boxing Ontario.
