Are you ready to take the next step as a boxing coach? The two-day Competition Introduction (formerly Level 2 / Club Coach) course will help you build and apply your teaching principles and methodology to coach athletes in the early stages of their competitive boxing careers.
PLEASE NOTE: This course will be capped at 25 participants. Early registration is recommended. The Instruction Beginners course must be completed before taking this course.
NCCP COURSE DESCRIPTION: Built upon what is covered in the Instruction Beginners workshop, coaches will continue to assist boxers in the early stages of their competitive career, but focus more on performance, intermediate ring craft principles, tactics, and intermediate methods for improving skills and techniques. During the 13 hours of in-class and in the gym practice, coaches will learn how to apply teaching principles and methodology when coaching athletes aged 6 to 16.

BRING:
• Come prepared to be active; wear some appropriate footwear and comfortable active-wear and bring a water bottle to the class.
• If you own gloves and hand pads, feel free to bring them, but this is not a necessity.
• Bring writing utensils such as pen/paper.
• Time will be allotted for lunch. If unsure of the food options nearby, bringing your own lunch is recommended.
NCCP NUMBER:
Every coach attending the course MUST have an NCCP number prior to the start of the course. If you don’t have a number, please create one HERE. You should know this number going forward as it will give you access to all the courses you take on the Coaching Association of Canada’s website called The Locker.

To process memberships, all coaches must complete their Safe Sport Training and Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders. These modules can be completed before or after coaches have completed the Instruction Beginners course.
