The Canadian Female Boxing Team travelled to Swieborice, Poland this past week to take on a strong Polish National Team.  Once again, Ontario led the way, winning all 4 of their championship bouts and helping Canada claim the overall victory 6-5.

London’s Jenn Ogg, Toronto’s Jacqui Park, and Windsor’s Mary Spencer represented Ontario.  Jenn, fresh off of a resounding win over USA’s Nesheba Thomas at the Banger in the Hangar, continued her dominance versus Poland.  She defeated Wiolette Szaniel in the 60kg division final by RSC in the 1st Round.  Jacqui Park, who has had a tremendous year, won by unanimous decision over Ewwlina Pekalska in the 46kg class, 3-0.  Mary Spencer, Champion at the Tourneo Italia in June, added another Gold to her portfolio, in the 66kg division.  She defeated Justyna Sroczynska 2-1 on the judges scorecard. Liverpool Boxing Club’s Amber Konikow, a new addition to the team, proved her worth in Gold by defeating Katarzyna Cichosz 3-0.

Congratulations to our Ontario Champions and to all the members of the Canadian Female Boxing Team on another outstanding performance!
