In conjunction with its 2004 Awards Ceremony, Boxing Ontario presents a first-class Olympic boxing and dinner event on June 17 in Oakville.  The gala will feature an “Ontario vs. Quebec” boxing showdown, with provincial and national champions from both provinces squaring off against one another.  There will be a minimum 6 bouts on the card.  Featured Ontario boxers are from Windsor, Toronto, Burlington, and Orangeville.  The evening will also honour the best of Ontario amateur boxing in 2004 and will include the induction of four new boxing “Legends” into Boxing Ontario’s Legends Ring of Fame.

Celebrity hosts for the evening are none other than Oakville’s own Donovan Bailey, the World’s Fastest Olympian, and the legendary George Chuvalo, Canada’s greatest boxing hero.  The two sporting icons will be in attendance to support Boxing Ontario’s Athlete Development Fund and George Chuvalo’s Fight Against Drugs.
