The BOX-ON! Program is going strong and may be seen at a school near you!  Over the last month, our expert instructors have been visiting schools and showing students many of the positive and enjoyable aspects of the sport of amateur boxing.  Through a Bi-Lateral Funding Agreement between the Provincial and Federal Governments, Boxing Ontario has been enabled to temporarily provide the program to schools free of charge.  The results have been fantastic.

We have already visited schools in Hamilton, Sudbury, London, Toronto, and Ottawa.  The next two weeks we’ll be in Mississauga, Toronto, Ottawa, and Ajax as the BOX-ON! train continues to roll.  Thank you to all of the schools who have participated.

The goal of BOX-ON! is to provide a standardized youth fitness program that promotes healthy and active living through the sport of Olympic style boxing.  BOX-ON! is taught in a safe and enjoyable environment, by trained instructors who are all members of Boxing Ontario.  The program allows us to showcase our sport, thereby creating awareness and interest in amateur boxing.  It also helps encourage youth to strive for healthy life choices and build self-confidence.

The BOX-ON! Blitz (free school sessions) ends soon.  If you know of a school in your area that would be interested in the program, have them contact us now! Let’s show everyone that amateur boxing is the best sport around!
