The Women’s World Championships begins today and runs until November 24th in India. Ontario has sent two women, the well known Mary Spencer (Windsor Amateur Boxing Club) the defending 66kg World Champion, and Katie Dunn (Border City Boxing Club) who won bronze at the World Championships last year.
This is the second journey to the World Championships and the first time in India for both. Should Mary captalize and win gold, she will become Canada’s first and only 2-time World Champion.
