Team Canada is back on track.  After a disappointing Monday program which saw the Canadian Team lose three tough bouts, Ontarian’s Adam Trupish and Ibrahim Kamal settled the score winning both of their matches Tuesday at the Men’s World Amateur Boxing Championships.  The pair are now 3-0 combined with Kamal winning a previous bout on Sunday versus Armenia.

Windsor’s Olympian Adam Trupish (69kg) defeated D. Otgonbeyer of Mongolia by a score of 34-13.  His next opponent in the preliminaries will be Ozturk Orhan of the Netherlands on Thursday.

Toronto’s Ibrahim Kamal (60kg) also coasted in his victory over Nersad Malicevic of Serbia & Montenegro by a score of 27-12.  His next combatant is Yordanis Ugas Hernandez of Cuba on Thursday.

Novia Scotia’s Tyson Cave (54kg) is the only remaining team member yet to box.  His first bout, versus Hong Kong, will be on Wednesday.  Preliminary bouts conclude on Thursday, with Quarterfinal action on Friday and medal rounds on the weekend.
