The 4th International Women’s Tourneo Italia concluded today in Cascia, Italy. The Canadian Team (with two representatives from Ontario) brought home 1 Gold, 3 Silver, and 2 Bronze. Here are the medal placings:
46kg – Nancy Fortin (Quebec) – GOLD
48kg – Jacqui Park (Ontario) – BRONZE
63kg – Katie Dunn (Ontario) – SILVER (19:25 loss to Busygina of RUS)
66kg – Daniel Quee (BC) – BRONZE
70kg – Arianne Fortin (Quebec) – SILVER
86kg – Jacynthe Maloney (Quebec) – BRONZE
Congratulations to the team on a successful trip! The Women’s World Championships will run from September 18-26 in Russia and Team Canada is sure to be in strong contention.
