Organizational Profile
Boxing Ontario is the not-for-profit, governing body for Amateur Boxing in the province.The organization is made up of 73 member clubs and over 7000 athletes, coaches and officials.
The organization is fully insured and registered.It is the only Boxing organization recognized by the Government of Ontario, Ministry of Health Promotion.
The organization is represented by an Executive Committee of 8 members and 30 Regional Representatives.A copy of the current Constitution and By-Laws are attached.
Statement of Purpose
Boxing Ontario is seeking an appropriate vendor to provide the service of revising the following documents:
Constitution and By-Laws
Conflict of Interest Policies
Risk Management Practices
Background Information
Boxing Ontario is the governing body for the sport in Ontario.It is made up of 73 member clubs and over 7000 participants.The current board is made up of an 8 member executive and an 18 member board (regional representatives).
Scope of Work
To review Boxing Ontario’s – Constitution and By-Laws, Conflict of Interest Policies
And Risk Management Practices and make recommendations and changes that reflect existing practices and laws at it relates to not-for-profits operating in Ontario.These changes will be reviewed by a committee and the sent to the board for approval.
Outcome and Performance Standards
The outcome is for Boxing Ontario to have revised documentation.The standard will be governed by current law and accepted by the Board of Boxing Ontario.
Deliverables
A revised Boxing Ontario Constitution
Revised Terms of Reference for ongoing committees of the Board according to the constitution
Revised Conflict of Interest Policies
Revised Risk Management Standards and Practices
Term of Contract
October 1, 2008 to March 1, 2009 (subject to change according to terms of the letter of agreement between the vendor and Boxing Ontario)
Payment
To be negotiated but not to exceed $7000
Contractual Terms and Conditions
As defined in the letter of agreement between the vendor and Boxing Ontario
Requirements for Proposal Preparation
The vendor will be required to submit a detailed proposal outlining the critical path for the project.The proposal should also include a draft budget for review.Also requested is a copy of the resume for the individual who will be doing the work.
The vendor will submit 1 Electronic Version of the proposal and 1 Hard copy of the proposal to:

Evaluation and Award Process
Proposals will be reviewed by the Proposal Team
The proposals will be ranked and scored based on pre-determined criteria
Vendors may be asked to make a presentation to the committee
