Boxers will assemble this weekend in Brampton to square off in one of the largest amateur developmental tournaments in the nation. The Brampton Cup, a long time boxing tournament in Ontario, will feature boxers as young as 11 years of age. Over 35 clubs from across Ontario and a team from Saskatchewan will participate in this 3-day event. For many novice boxers, this tournament is often the stepping stone for their competitive amateur careers. The event will also feature many Cadets who will be vying for gold at the Cadet Nationals in St. Catharines in 2 weeks time.
