The Canadian Sport Centre Ontario, the National Coaching Institute and the Coaches Association of Ontario, are pleased to announce 3 new NCCP course bursaries along with a professional development program, which will directly benefit coaches wishing to continue their education and certification in all parts of the province.

There are 4 available funding opportunities, they are:

1. Level 3 Coach Theory Bursary
This provides assistence to fully Level 2 certified coaches. Courses are being offered in the following locations: Windsor, Ottawa, Sault Ste Marie, Kingston, Peterborough, Niagara, Toronto & Hamilton. The course fees will be reduced to $25 for the first 100 coaches registered. 2. Level 3 Technical Coach Bursary  
The Coach Bursary provides financial assistance to Level 2 coaches interested in taking their NCCP Level 3 Technical.  This bursary will be used to offset course fees and/or travel expenses. To download the Bursary Application click this link: https://www.coachesontario.ca/component/option,com_docman/task,cat_view/gid,104/Itemid,88/ Please note that the Quest For Gold funding will not cover courses prior to July 1 2006. 

3. NCI Tuition Bursary
The Tuition Bursary provides financial assistance to coaches pursuing Level 4 certification through the National Coaching Institute (NCI).   Registration for the 2-year program is $3,000 and the bursary maximum for this application is $1,500. 4. Level 4/5 Professional Development Bursary
The Professional Development grant provides financial assistance to coaches pursuing a project that will improve their coaching skills.  Examples of projects: travel to a training camp, travel to work with an expert coach in another location or bringing an expert coach to Ontario to work with the applicant and athletes in Ontario. 

The maximum grant is $3,000 of which $2,500 must be used for expenses towards the project and a $500 honorarium, which will be paid to the applicant after follow-up with the PSO and a sharing opportunity with developing coaches within the Sport (ie: give a presentation at an AGM or in a community event). To download the Bursary Application click here: https://www.coachesontario.ca/component/option,com_docman/task,cat_view/gid,104/Itemid,88/

*To qualify for any of the above programs coaches must be a resident of Ontario as well as coach in a sport that participates in the Olympic/Paralymics Games, the Canada Games or the Ontario Games.

Boxing Ontario Coaches – This is a fantastic opportunity to increase your skills and knowledge as a coach. Such bursaries are very hard to come by and therefore must and should be taken advantage of.
