St. Catharines, Ontario – Boxers will gather this weekend in St.Catharines in what will be the last tournament of the 2006/2007 Champion Series. Athletes will be contending for a last round chance for Gold, Silver or Bronze. This year the Ray McGibbons Tournament has reached a record number of entries. Over 35 clubs and more than 100 athletes from all over Ontario are scheduled to take part.
The Ray McGibbon’s tournament will also feature the 2007 Annual Boxing Ontario Awards on Saturday April 21. The awards will honour those whom have made great contributions to the sport of amateur boxing in Ontario.
