Your new Board of Directors is pleased to announce that they are looking for individuals to take on various roles as part of the new organizational structure.

The following positions are available:

Treasurer (Reporting to the VP Admin):

The Treasurer shall cause to be kept proper accounting records as

required by the Act, shall cause to be deposited all monies received by the Corporation into the Corporation’s bank account, as directed by the Board of Directors shall supervise the management and

disbursement of funds of the Corporation, when required shall provide the Board of Directors with an account of financial transactions and the financial position of the Corporation, shall present audited

financial statements to Members at the Annual General Meeting, unless presented by the Auditor, shall advise the Executive Director on financial matters and shall perform such other duties as may from

time to time be established by the Board of Directors.

Required Skills/Background – a background in finance or accounting and previous experience in working with a not-for-profit would be an asset.

Director of Marketing (Reporting to the VP Admin):

Working with the VP Admin and the Executive Director, update the marketing plan for the organization.  The Director of Marketing will also assist in the recruitment of potential sponsors.  The Director of Marketing will also assist staff in the promotion of all programs and services.

Required Skills/Background – a background in marketing and promotion – experience in fund raising and event management would be an asset.

Provincial Coach

The Provincial Coach shall implement programs for the

development and upgrading of coaches; shall assist in the selection of coaches for provincial teams and shall assist in the administration of provincial training camps; shall represent Ontario at national coaching

meetings and clinics; shall investigate discipline problems concerning coaches and shall perform such other duties as may from time to time be established by the Board of Directors.  He She will serve as a member of the Technical Committee.

 

Required Skills/Background – a minimum level 3 coach and previous experience coaching boxers at the provincial and national level.

Provincial Official

The Provincial Officials shall enforce the technical rules of the Corporation and Canadian Amateur Boxing Association at all Sanctioned Contests; shall implement programs for the development

and upgrading of officials; shall appoint Chief Officials for events; shall confer with the VP Protocol to ensure that procedures in the Code of Conduct and Discipline Policy are followed when

allegations of misconduct involving officials are reported and shall perform such other duties as may from time to time be established by the Board of Directors. He/She will serve as a member of the Technical Committee.

 

Required Skills/Background – a minimum level 3 official and previous experience  officiating at the national and international level.

Athlete Rep

Will act as a representative to the Board of Directors for all athletes, the will gather feedback and information from athletes and pass it along to the Board and Technical Committee.  He/She will serve as a member of the Technical Committee.

Required Skills/Background – a boxer who has competed at the national and international level.
