Chicago, IL –
Last nights bout against Sweden’s Yaffer Abdo-Irida has secured Adam Trupish of the Windsor Amateur Boxing Club, a spot on the Canadian Olympic Team heading to China in the summer of 2008. This will be Adam’s second time to the Olympics and he has a lot to prove this time around. In the 2004 Olympics, Adam suffered a devastating loss in the first round. This will be Adam’s chance to redeem himself.

Adams journey at the Worlds has been a hard fought one. Adam began his bouts against Columbia (Ronal Montes) and gave a powerful blow to his opponent that ultimately ended the bout, securing his first win. Adam then took on Iran (Mohammad Sattarpour) which he took it easy, the final decision was based on points.

Adam’s coach, Charlie Stewart, is quite proud of his boxer. Charlie has no doubt that Adam has a chance of reaching the podium in Beijing. Charlie has quite a history of being at the Olympic Games, he was the Canadian Team Coach in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, 2004 Athens Olympics, and now will most likely join the ranks again in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
