Boxing Ontario is making an effort to be more involved in communities throughout Ontario. Why? It’s simple: we care about the residents of Ontario and we feel that boxing is a great way to reach out to people. Most importantly, is the youth in our communities who are the future of this great province. Amateur Boxing is a great outlet for kids and helps to instill the values of discipline and hard work. Boxing is safe, builds self-esteem, and it’s fun!
BOX-ON!
Boxing Ontario has introduced its 2005 Youth Fitness Program, BOX-ON! to schools in Ontario. We are very pleased to be partners with such an important assocation and we share the BGCO motto, “Every Kid has Potential.” The BOX-ON! Program teaches the importance of fitness and active, healthy living through the utilization of Olympic boxing training methods. To learn more about BOX-ON! click on the logo on the Home Page or visit our BOX-ON! page under “Athletes” in the side menu. View the calendar for up coming BOX-ON! events.
KidSport
Boxing Ontario is also extremely thrilled to partner with KidSport in raising funds for disdvantaged kids to participate in organized sport. We have been involved with KidSport for over 4 years and one of our great coaches and former Olympians, Johnny Kalbhenn, is a KidSport spokesman. Check our community event listing below for the KidSport events we are participating in.
